Step into the mesmerizing world of this Spanish surrealist as his art comes to life like never before. THE LUME Indianapolis featuring Dalí Alive is an immersive experience that celebrates the life and creative genius of one of the most influential + inventive artists of the modern era. And now, Hoosiers can see his work in an incredible interactive display right here at THE LUME at Newfields.

What to know before you go

If you’ve been looking for a date night activity, a family outing, or just an inspirational, artsy afternoon, you won’t want to miss this exhibition.

THE LUME Dalí transforms Newfields’ entire fourth floor into 30,000 sqft of immersive galleries, featuring Dalí’s surreal landscapes, iconic melting clocks, and mind-bending illusions with touchpoints from the artist’s time in Spain, Paris, and the US. The exhibition will showcase four large, vibrant watercolor paintings by Dalí from the IMA’s permanent collection, originally designed for the opera “The Spanish Lady and the Roman Cavalier.” Fun fact: This marks their first collective museum appearance since 1979.

Why not make a day (or night) of it? Attendees 21+ can grab a specialty cocktail and a selection of Spanish-inspired small bites by Newfields’ culinary team at El Mercado Surreal to enjoy while they walk through the gallery. Let your imagination run wild in the renewed activity space titled Let’s Get Surreal, where artificial intelligence will transform your written words into a two-dimensional masterpiece.

Be the first to experience Dalí's dreamscape in this one-of-a-kind immersive experience (read: the only immersive Dalí experience in the country outside of The Salvador Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg, FL).

THE LUME Dalí is open for a limited time, so don’t wait. Tickets are $29 for adults, $25 for seniors (55+), $20 for kids (ages 6-17), and include admission to the entire rest of the art museum (kids five and under get in free). See you there, Indy.
