Black Friday brings out the best deals from all the major retailers, but Small Business Saturday is when the lovers-of-all-things-local come out to shop.

From grabbing a coffee at Commissary Barber & Barista to kickstart your shopping adventure to picking up holiday gifts at Silver in the City , you can make your entire Saturday a local experience.

Fun facts from Small Business Saturday last year:

No matter if this is your first time in Indy or you’re a seasoned local, you can shop small this Saturday + give back to the Hoosiers who give us a million reasons to brag about our city.

To help you sort out your Saturday shopping plans, we’ve compiled a list of local businesses participating in Small Business Saturday.

Silver in the City

📍 434 Mass. Ave.

⏰ 9 a.m.-7 p.m.

🛍️ For every $100 you spend, you’ll get $10 to spend in 2022. Make this your first of many stops along Mass Ave., as neighboring shops like Francis and Fern Boutique + City Dogs Grocery will also be participating in Small Business Saturday .

Irvington Vinyl and Books

📍 9 Johnson Ave.

⏰ 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

🛍️ Take advantage of this local shop’s vinyl collection sale — 20+ crates of 5-for-$10 records. Plus, you’ll be right across the street from Boujie Biscuit for a quick lunch to refuel.

Snakeroot Botanicals

📍 1052 Virginia Ave.

⏰ 11 a.m.-7 p.m.

🛍️ In addition to a free 2” plant to the first 50 customers, Snakeroot is participating in the Fountain Square passport program — if you get enough stamps, you’ll be entered in a prize drawing with all sorts of local goodies.

Anna is based in Indianapolis, IN and worked in government communications for five years before joining 6AM City to help launch INDYtoday. When she’s not writing about the Circle City from a local coffee shop, you can find her taking long walks with her dog Babs + reading from her hammock and baking pies from scratch.
