Whenever we’re feeling saucy, we like to dig into a slice of local pizza. Indy’s pizza scene is bubbling with options — and we keep finding ways to top ourselves. If you’re on the quest for the perfect slice, we’ve pie-oneered a list of 15 places to grab pizza that are definitely worth the dough.

Bazbeaux, Multiple locations
With three locations and 37 years in business, Bazbeaux is an Indy icon. From traditional to exotic + premium toppings, plus multiple vegan options, you can truly build the pizza of your dreams here.

Jockamo’s Upper Crust Pizza, Multiple locations
Jockamo’s is beloved for its huge menu of unique pizzas, like the Bollywood and the chicken broccoli alfredo. It even serves breakfast-style “hangover pizzas” all day Saturday + Sunday.

Pizza King, Multiple locations
With its legendary feast pizzas, Pizza King has a taste recognizable to any Hoosier. It’s been around for over 60 years, and is known for its pizzas being “good to the very edge.”

Want a fancy date night, but also, pizza? King Dough takes pride in its upscale menu, from a grape + gorgonzola pizza to truffle fries. In fair weather months, it also has some of the best outdoor seating in the city.

Napolese, Multiple locations
From six-time James Beard Foundation semifinalist Martha Hoover comes this elegant restaurant, which is all about artfully made pizza and stone hearth baking. Whether you hit the location in Meridian-Kessler or at The Fashion Mall at Keystone, the experience is sure to remain top-notch.

Byrne’s Grilled Pizza, Meridian-Kessler
After getting its start as a humble food truck, Byrne’s has become a local staple, bolstered by not only its variety of unique pizzas but its special sauces like caper + olive or spicy beer cheese. Cross-country crusts

Goodfellas, Multiple locations
Night owls can confirm: Goodfellas knows what it’s doing. With locations smack dab in the middle of two of Indy’s biggest nightlife neighborhoods that are open until 3 a.m. on Fridays + Saturdays, there’s no better place to grab that much-needed late night slice of New York-style pie. Pro tip: the Mass Avenue location also has a cool speakeasy in the back with amazing cocktails.

Futuro, Holy Cross
Known for its Detroit-style deep dish pizza, Futuro has made a name for itself with clever combos and huge pies. If you don’t love deep dish, thin crust and gluten-free crust options are also available.

Brozinni Pizzeria, Multiple locations
Brozinni takes its identity as a New York-style joint seriously, with every pizza named after a location in the Big Apple. If you’re looking to dial up your NYC experience even further, add one of its amazing calzones or cannoli to your order.

Giorgio’s Pizza, Mile Square
