This might sound counter-intuitive, but you might want to head north for spring break next year.
Geist Waterfront Park is set to open in Fishers (111th Street + Olio Road) on Saturday, March 18, 2023 making it the only spot for Hoosiers to use Geist Reservoir without a boat.
Fishers residents will get in for free at the $27 million beach + nature park that spans 70 acres. Potential plans
for the park include:
- a 100-yard-long beach
- rehabilitation of multiple ecosystems in the area
- a fishing dock
- natural playscapes
- green infrastructure systems
On Saturday, Nov. 19, Hoosiers will have an opportunity to get a sneak peek at the park’s progress during a free preview night as Phase 1 construction wraps up for the year. The event will include games, activities, music + food trucks. Register your car load .
