Leap Day: How to spend an extra day in Indy

It’s 2024, and we have a special February that only comes around once every four years. That’s right, we’re talking about Leap Day. Instead of the traditional 28 days, we are treated with 29. Since Earth’s trip around the sun isn’t exactly 365 days, we add a leap day to keep our calendars on track.

With this additional day of the year, it might have you wondering what to do with this extra time, so here are some fun — and maybe some outlandish — things to do around the Circle City.

  • Take a stroll among 215,000+ graves at Crown Hill Cemetery — including those of America’s first “Public Enemy No. 1" and the 23rd US president. Looking for more strange things to do? Check out this list.
