Pisces, Cancers, and Scorpios, this one’s for you. Get a simultaneously low impact + high resistance workout by harnessing the power of water in this gym’s 80-degree pool. Classes include Aqua Ai-Chi, which focuses on marrying breathwork and flowing movements, and Boga Yoga, in which you’ll experience a challenging flow all while balancing on a floating yoga mat.

Bounce Back with Vanessa, 9477 E. Washington St.
Remember moon shoes? Kangoo Jumps are sort of like their modern offspring, giving wearers a low impact way to jump around to their hearts’ content. Vanessa’s team uses the boots for high-energy dance classes that include a whole lot of bouncing.

According to NASA’s Journal of Applied Physiology, trampoline exercise is 68% more effective than running — and you’ll feel that difference at the JCC’s classes. The mini trampolines have bars so you don’t go flying off the handle, and participants are encouraged to cheer each other on during class.
