Want to take a look at culture and history through the lens of… motorcycles? Yep, that’s a thing.

In Milwaukee’s newly revamped Harley-Davidson Museum (a ~4.5-hour drive from Indianapolis), attendees can explore the storied history of Harley-Davidson motorcycles and how they’ve influenced culture since roaring onto the scene in 1903.

What not to miss at the museum

Located on a sprawling, 20-acre campus, the Harley-Davidson Museum has so much to see (read: two floors of permanent exhibits) that it can be hard to know where to start.

Here’s what not to miss:

  1. The Experience Gallery, where visitors can interact with the newest Harley-Davidson Freedom Machines and immerse themselves in riders’ unique stories.
  2. “Mama Tried: Bringing It Together,” a new exhibit opening June 17
  3. MOTOR Bar & Restaurant to enjoy a riverfront meal and make a day of it
  4. The Harley-Davidson® Shop and Factory Shop, which offer one-of-a-kind products, including the exclusive H-D Museum 120th Anniversary collection.

And that’s just the beginning of what the Harley-Davidson Museum has to offer — to see it all, you’ll just have to go.*
