If you want your sauna experience to be less social and more solo, SweatHouz is a great pick for you.

If you haven’t heard, the US sauna market is heating up.

According to a recent study, the industry is projected to grow by $151 million between now and 2029, fueled by Americans seeking new ways to stay active + socialize. And yes, Indy’s sauna scene is gaining steam, too. Here are a few places where you can try it out.

Sauna Social
This Finnish-style wood burning sauna can accommodate eight people and is found within a converted school bus, parked outside popular spots like Gather 22. Once it opens for the winter season, you can book 30 or 60 minute sessions in 200-240°F temps, complete with a complimentary drink. Pro tip: You can also rent out the entire bus for private parties.

Indianapolis Salt Cave
Want some privacy? You’ll love this solo experience in a low temperature, dry sauna. Sessions are 45 minutes — while you’re here, you should try a halotherapy session in the Salt Cave too.

INDYtoday: INDY_Cold Plunge Studios sauna_NOV25

Cold Plunge Studios’ dry sauna is heated to 210° and can comfortably seat four people.

Cold Plunge Studios
If you’re like us, the last thing you want to do right now is take a cold plunge in a tub of 40°F water — but when you can follow that with a dry sauna session and some red light therapy, it doesn’t seem so bad. Pro tip: If you find you really love the combo, you can get a membership.

Cryotherapy Indy
At this center, you can combine your 30 or 45 minute infrared sauna session with a round of flotation therapy or cryotherapy. Sauna temps are customizable to your preference.

SweatHouz
This studio offers one-hour sessions in luxury private suites equipped with their own 170ºF infrared sauna, cold plunge tub, and vitamin-C shower. Psst... there are new locations coming soon to the Bottleworks District and Fishers.
