Mobile businesses are driving the market.

A mobile business is a flexible, location-independent company — usually on wheels. Think: food trucks, mobile pet grooming services, etc.

We’ve noticed mobile businesses on a roll around Indy, so here are a few that we find wheel-y cool.

Parched | This local smoothie + açaí bowl business expanded from locations in Indianapolis (9922 E. Washington St.) and Greenfield (13 N. State St.) to anywhere else with its new açaí bowl trailer. You can book the trailer to pop up at your private event.

S’morecicles | It’s a cool new take on everyone’s favorite summer treat. Whether it’s the S’morecycle or Van S’morrison, you’ll find the handcrafted frozen s’mores created by Lynsey Delp getting around town on wheels. You can book S’morecicles for your next event or for delivery downtown.

The bus celebrates Black life, Black heritage ,and Black joy.

Black Worldschoolers Mobile Bookstore | This mobile bookstore founded by local mom of two Natalie Pipkin was the first of its kind in Indy — and even put the city on the map, gaining national recognition from Oprah’s Book Club on social media. It’s on a mission to share Black stories + you can book the bus for your next event.

Sauna Social bus

The sauna on wheels is the first of its kind + is in service Friday-Sunday.

Sauna Social | Indy’s first-ever sauna on wheels launched back in January of this year and has been bringing the heat ever since. Sauna Social is a converted school bus with a sauna in the back, a cold shower, and a lounge area. You can find the bus around town or book it for a private group session.

Rare Brew | Specializing in handcrafted sparkling tea that is sugar free, low-calorie, vegan, and loose leaf — you can find Rare Brew at markets in Indy and Bloomington. You can rent the tap truck for weddings, corporate, or private events. The truck features four taps, that can serve up any beverage of your choice.
