With hibernation season almost upon us, what else is there to do other than eat? And what better way to do that than by trying some local food challenges? Here are a few around town for the truly adventurous eaters among us:

Dick’s Last Resort | Mile Square

  • Challenge: Two large steaks, a 12" sausage, macho nachos, house salad, double portion of cheddar mashed taters, and double order of broccoli
  • Cost: $79.99
  • Time limit: One hour

Bub’s Burgers & Ice Cream | Carmel

  • Challenge: Burger with a one pound patty, served with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle on the side
  • Cost: $26.25
  • Time limit: N/A

Best Bet Breakfast and Lunch | Noblesville

  • Challenge: six portions of potatoes, six eggs, diced ham, sausage, jalapenos, green peppers and onions all scrambled together and topped with cheddar cheese
  • Cost: $31.50
  • Time limit: Pull a random card to determine limit; times range from 30 minutes to one hour

Rockstar Pizza | Brownsburg

  • Challenge: 30" single topping pizza — two people must work together to finish it
  • Cost: $50
  • Time limit: 45 minutes
