Cheers, brewskies. Today is National Beer Day — so to celebrate, we’re hoppy to share some news in the local brewery scene + some seasonal sips to try.

🍺 New brewer on the block

Indy has quite a few local brewers and our March Madness brewery bracket proved a competitive playing field. Now, there’s a new brewery to add to the roster.

Kismetic Beer Company is repurposing an old building at 201 S. Rural St. + turning it into their home — with its grand opening date set for Sat., April 16.

Being from the east side, the owners — who have been in the professional brewing community for five years — wanted to contribute specifically to its neighborhood and you’ll find that it’s the only brewery in the area.

Kismetic will (obviously) be focused on beer but also has plans to bring wine, ciders, and non-alcoholic options to the menu.

What will you pair with your beer? Kismetic said it’s excited to partner with another business in the neighborhood — Las Mexicanas Super Tacos — which will park its food truck at the brewery when it’s open.

Hours:

  • Mon.-Tues.: Closed
  • Wed.-Thurs.: 4-9 p.m.
  • Fri.: 3-10 p.m.
  • Sat.: 12-10 p.m.
  • Sun.: 12-6 p.m.
