Do you have an idea to make the world a better place? Avon High Schooler Neva Verbik did — and it won her a $23,000 four-year scholarship.

Neva entered the University of Evansville’s High School Changemaker Challenge with an idea addressing the increasing lack of space for plants to grow, providing a solution for pollution and global warming.

Pro tip: Your world-changing idea could win you a scholarship, too. Juniors + seniors can pitch their concept by Thurs., Dec. 8.
