After last season’s exciting playoff run, the team hopes to build on their success for an even better year. During media day, General Manager Chad Buchanan said the front office was “hopeful” that the team would be in the race to garner a play-in spot.
The roster is looking good. Here’s what happened during the offseason:
- Signed center James Wiseman, who was the No. 2 overall pick in 2020
- Re-signed two-time All-Star Pascal Siakam to a multi-year contract
- Re-signed high-flying forward Obi Toppin
- Signed contract extensions with third-year guard Andrew Nembhard and veteran T.J. McConnell
- Myles Turner will be entering his 10th season with the Blue + Gold
- Rookies: Johnny Furphy (No. 35 overall), Tristen Newton (No. 49), and Enrique Freeman (No. 50).
The Pacers will begin their 2024 preseason schedule on Tuesday, Oct. 8 in Atlanta. The first home preseason game is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. against the Memphis Grizzlies.
