As the weather gets warmer, and our allergies flare up, let’s cling to the best parts of spring in our city. We’re rounding up places to admire, plant, and pick-your-own blooms this season.

Flower Boys
From this shop in Fountain Fletcher, you can order arrangements, pick your own bouquet from the stem wall, or even attend workshop events to learn how to make your own arrangements.

Fridas Flowers
This Latina-owned floral studio’s bouquets are inspired by Latin culture + dance, and each bouquet is named after its new owner. This Indianapolis flower shop is grounded in decolonized funk, feminism, and ancestral connection.

Digs Garden Center
This garden center by Heath Outdoor, which popped up just down the street from North Mass Boulder last year, sells flowering perennials, shrubs, trees, mulch, compost, veggies, and supplies. You’ll come for the plants and stay for the vibes.

Here’s what you said:

Willow and Star in Nora is awesome! They have fresh stems, gifts, plants, and offer workshops! It’s cool spot! They also do events (parties, weddings, etc.)” — Ashley B.

Fishers Flower Farm! Mother-daughter owned and it’s the cutest thing ever.” — Melissa S.

“Hello!! One of the largest and longest existing is McNamara Florist... It might be a little more old school BUT if you have massive events or need columns or other furniture in a special events location, they are your florist. Their quality is great. The main store is on Mass Ave in the warehouse district...and other locations scattered among the city. I do love Flower Boys, the vibe in there is incredible!!” — Terry S.
