What’s the tea on boba tea?

If you haven’t heard of it, it can also be referred to as bubble tea or milk tea. No matter what you call it, it’s been popping up around Indy over the last few years.

We think it’s tea-licious, so come oolong as we list nine bubble tea spots around the Circle City.

Tiger Sugar, 1155 E. Stop 11 Rd., Ste. C

This boba brand originated in Taichung, Taiwan and expanded worldwide. Its first-ever location in Indiana opened on the south side of Indianapolis in June and quickly became City Editor Nicole’s new favorite spot. She likes to get the mango sago.

Tsaocaa, 530 Mass Ave. + 6386 E. 82nd St.

This tea shop is brand new to Mass Ave. and took over the former Latea location. City Editor Nicole tried the peach tea with nata jelly.

From Fountain Square to Keystone, Harmony serves up quali-tea drinks across Indy. Nicole’s go-to is the strawberry mocktail.

Kung Fu Tea, Multiple locations

This national chain has a large menu ranging from milk tea to punch to slush drinks. Nicole is eyeing the mango cream drink on the seasonal specials.

Kyuramen x TBaar, 530 Mass Ave.

This new ramen shop on Mass Avenue also has a boba shop with a menu that offers milk tea, milk foam tea, fresh fruit tea, smoothies, and lemonades. City Editor Nicole tried the mango lemonade.

While stopping in for your lunch break at The AMP, check out Boba & Everything’s menu including strawberry-green tea slush, brown sugar bubble tea, and taro bubble tea.
